Nikola Tesla (1856 – 1943) was a Serbian American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and a futurist, best known for his work in AC electrical supply system, wireless technology, X-Ray, electrical motor, radio and directed energy. Tesla was renowned for his achievements and showmanship, eventually earning him a reputation in popular culture as an archetypal “mad scientist”. His work on death ray weapon, wireless energy transmission and free energy invite a lot of controversy till date.
Albert Einstein (1879 – 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist, who migrated to USA in 1933 and became a naturalized citizen in 1940. He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics. He is best known for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = MC2 (which has been dubbed “the world’s most famous equation”).He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.
Benjamin Franklin (1705 – 1790) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and in many ways was “the First American”. As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his discoveries and theories about electricity. As an inventor, he is known for the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove, among other inventions.
